ENERGY AUDITS / MEASUREMENT AND VERIFICATION (M&V)

Our team helps with the 3 levels of ASHRAE audits: Level I, II and III. An ASHRAE Level I audit includes an analysis of the building’s utility bills, operating data and a walk-through of the facility. The Level I audit identifies and provides savings and cost analysis of low-cost/no-cost measures and potential capital improvements. ASHRAE Level II and III provide more detailed analysis for potential capital upgrades.

An energy audit includes the following steps:

• Collect and analyze historical energy use
• Study the building and its operation characteristics
• Identify potential modifications that will reduce the energy use and/or cost
• Perform an engineering and economic analysis of potential modifications
• Create a rank-ordered list of appropriate modifications
• Prepare a report to document the analysis process and results
• Develop an M&V plan to ensure that the required savings are being produced and that grant, and rebate requirements are met
